Six people have been treated for smoke inhalation, with one taken to hospital, after the blaze at Arnold Clark in Torry. Residents from nearby flats have been evacuated due to heavy smoke and moved to the community centre on Balnagask Road.
Six fire appliances and around 35 firefighters have been involved in the incident.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “No-one has been injured as a result of the fire, however, as a precaution, a number of domestic properties situated on Girdleness Road, which are in close proximity to the incident, are currently being evacuated due to the severity of smoke and to ensure public safety.”
