Fire at Lancaster Police station confirmed as an electrical fault

It has been confirmed that a fire which broke out in Lancaster Police Station was caused by an electrical fault.
Ten fire engines, a command unit and two aerial ladders were called to the site on Thurnham Street at around 9pm on the 23rd of July after the blaze started on the third floor. The response ensured that firefighters were able to fully search the premise efficiently for any potential casualties of which there was fortunately none.
It was confirmed that the fire only caused minor damage to two offices and there were no suspicious circumstances involved.
