Today, we remain a family-focused organisation – one that is big enough to cope, but small enough to care. In fact, we possess the highest possible accreditations across all of our services to deliver the highest standards of service and protection for your property and the people in it. 

Our founder, Andy Trafford, started his career as an RAF firefighter, before moving into his local fire service, including nine years focusing on fire safety. When fire safety regulations changed in the 1990s, Andy realised the need for organisations to be able to seek the advice and services of an experienced, registered fire safety expert.

MacDonald Martin was launched in 2003 with similar aims to the fire service, most importantly, “save life”. Today, the company is now made up of approximately 50 employees, including 15 risk assessors employed by the company that are stationed across the UK.
