17 Nov Blocked fire escapes lead to fines for Hull landlord

Mr David Reid, a hull landlord has been charged with over £1000 in fines after an inspection by the council.

The environmental health team uncovered fire safety failings after it was discovered that the fire escape to the flats was obstructed and in desperate need of repair. Inspectors also described building was which has been dumped in the front and back yards of the property which were a fire hazard.

The fines come after Mr Reid ignored requests from the council to tidy up the property.
